Affordable Housing Pre-Development Fund Grants
Hudson River Housing (HRH) and RUPCO, both long-time Dyson Foundation grantees, are two of the Mid-Hudson Valley’s most important housing and community development organizations. Organizations like these need access to dollars for the critical pre-development expenses associated with most housing projects, such as appraisals, land surveys, and architectural and engineering fees. However, capital grants don’t typically support these up-front costs and commercial borrowing can be costly. To help HRH and RUPCO develop affordable housing, the Dyson Foundation made a grant to each to create their own internal revolving funds for pre-development expenses, giving them access to immediate, flexible, no-cost capital that can be used again and again.
