Managing Your Nonprofit

Sustainability in Lean Times - January 27, 2009

On January 27th, 2009, Clara Miller, President and CEO of the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) discussed the current economic crisis and ways to think about nonprofit organizations' sustainability during tough times. She examined in depth how - both individually and collectively - nonprofits can be prepared to meet the challenges ahead and continue to provide the kind of services that are the backbone of our communities.

Other key topics discussed included ways for the sector to achieve greater efficiencies and rethinking the way funders and nonprofits relate to and do business with each other.

This event took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 at the Poughkeepsie Grand View and was followed by a networking reception.  It was jointly sponsored by the Community Foundation of Dutchess County, the Dyson Foundation, and the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers.
