Dawn Carolei
Funders Network of the Mid-Hudson Valley Project Coordinator & Special Assistant
Dawn is responsible for managing the Funders Network of the Mid-Hudson Valley, a Dyson Foundation initiative designed to bring together regional funders for the purpose of providing professional development, motivating collaboration, linking to national and state philanthropic organizations, and providing resources for grantees. In her position as Special Assistant, Dawn provides administrative support to the Board of Directors.
Jennifer Drake
Program Associate
Jen has responsibility for activities that contribute to and support the Dyson Foundation’s grantmaking programs. Jen reviews grant inquiries, proposals, and correspondence and participates in program monitoring. Jen also works closely with the Accounting & Business Manager and the Information Technology Manager to ensure the integrity of our grantmaking database.
Theresa Gill
Administrative Manager
As Administrative Manager, Theresa is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Dyson Foundation’s administrative functions. Her responsibilities include general administrative support, purchasing, facilities management, personnel related issues, website maintenance, and various grants-related initiatives and technical support issues.

Executive Vice President
As the Foundation’s chief staff officer, Diana helps to guide the grant programs, works with the Board of Directors, and represents the Foundation in the community and with other philanthropic organizations.

Amy Husten
Walkway Over the Hudson Executive Director and Dyson Foundation Special Projects Manager
Amy Husten came to the Dyson Foundation in October 2007 to serve as Executive Director for Walkway Over the Hudson, and also to assist with Dyson Foundation special projects as needed.

Tim O'Leary
Information Technology Manager
Tim maintains the Foundation’s Windows network and related software/hardware, provides staff support for technology-related needs, and keeps the office abreast of new technology.
Cindy Scott
Staff Assistant
Cindy provides general administrative support to the staff. Her responsibilities include answering the phone, handling incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining the office filing system, scheduling appointments, processing initial grant requests, and assisting with Funders Network of the Mid-Hudson Valley meetings and other events.
Michell Speight
Director of Programs
Michell is responsible for managing the Mid-Hudson Valley Grantmaking Program. This includes providing oversight to program staff and making funding recommendations to the Dyson Foundation's Board of Directors. In addition, Michell works on many of the Foundation's Legacy & Family Interest Program grants related to reproductive health and public policy.
Cecilia R. Stancell
Program Officer
As a program officer working primarily in the Foundation's Mid-Hudson Valley Program, Cecilia is responsible for the full range of the grantmaking process including proposal review, site visits, and program monitoring. Cecilia also works with other program staff and the Executive Vice President on many of the Foundation's special initiatives.
Janet Van Why
Controller
As Controller, Janet has overall responsibility for accounting for the Dyson Foundation. She ensures that the accounting, audit, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, cash managment, financial statements, bank reconciliations, and tax reports are accurate and organized, while maintaing a system of financial controls appropriate to the needs of the Foundation. In collaboration with the Accounting & Business Manager, she analyzes and records portfolio investment activity. An important function is the ongoing analysis of the Foundation's required minimum distributions.
Vivian E. Walsh
Accounting & Business Manager
Vivian assists the Controller in the execution of all accounting duties and verifies, allocates and posts the financial transactions of the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. Portfolio investment tracking and monitoring cash flows are important parts of her job. In collaboration with department managers, Vivian prepares individual expense budgets and compiles and monitors the Program and Administrative Expense Budgets. She also serves as administrator of the Foundation's grants management database.
Jeannine Caruso
Director of Investments
Jeannine manages the Foundation's investment portfolio.
