The Dyson Foundation commissioned this regional survey from the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion to begin a dialogue on the issues that needed to be addressed in both the short and long-term. This study showed the community's most pressing needs, in particular providing affordable health care and quality public education. You can download the original findings in PDF form here. |

The Community Pediatrics Training Initiative was established to develop pediatric residency programs to train pediatricians who have greater skills and interest in community-based medicine, advocacy, and who are better able to improve the health of children in their communities.
