Northern Dutchess Hospital Foundation
Founded in 1929, Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, a Health Quest affiliate, serves residents of northern Dutchess, southern Columbia, and eastern Ulster counties. Between 2010 and 2015, Northern Dutchess Hospital saw a 24 percent increase in inpatient volume.
In 2014, the Dyson Foundation awarded funds to Northern Dutchess Hospital in the form of a 2:1 challenge to spur additional philanthropic giving toward construction of a new 86,500 square foot Patient Pavilion that opened in February 2016. The new wing features six high-tech operating suites, a seven-bay post-anesthesia care unit, an isolation room, and fifteen prep/stage-two recovery bays. It also includes a new 40-bed patient-care unit with enhanced privacy and improved infection control.
Grants to Northern Dutchess Hospital reflect the Dyson Foundation’s commitment to Health & Safety Net funding, and to quality health care services for residents of the Hudson Valley of all income levels.
