The purpose of the Dyson Foundation’s Management Assistance Program (MAP) is to help nonprofits in the Mid-Hudson Valley strengthen their organizations and find greater efficiencies in administration, operations, resource development and programming. Nonprofits can better focus on their core missions and serve their community when they are well managed and fiscally sound, have engaged boards and good governance, and rely on sound planning for strategic results.

Mid-Hudson Valley-based nonprofits can apply for these grants to improve operations, administration, and management. There are two major funding areas: the Mini-Grant Program and the Strategic Restructuring Initiative. Current Dyson Foundation grantees are additionally eligible to apply for cash flow loans.  Please review the detailed guidelines for these programs. Recent grants in the Management Assistance Program can be seen here.

The New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) offers an array of management assistance services at competitively low rates. More information about their programs and services can be found on their website.

Please note that the application procedures for MAP funding differ from the Foundation's regular grant application process.  See the individual MAP program descriptions for guidelines and applications specific to each program.
